“Nima and the Jen” follows a 22 year old Iranian-American girl and her pursuit of connecting with her Persian culture, uncovering the secrets of her family’s past, and finding security in her identity. After losing her grandmother, Nima is magically sent a mysterious box which launches her journey and investigation into her family’s past. This box will ultimately come to conjure Nima’s late grandmother, Mandana, in the form of a jen, and send them back in time to Iran 1968.
