The show begins on the eve of Nowruz (Persian new year) where twins, Arya and Pouria receive the news that they are responsible for hosting the family festivities. They rush to the local Persian Market and unexpectedly see their estranged father, Ramin. Feeling an array of conflicting emotions, they decide to follow him to his apartment which leads to a moving and informative reunion. Here they learn about the ugly truth of why he left them 20 years ago and invite him to Nowruz, where he will face the family that forced him away.
